XL Recordings

I find it a bit disgusting to hear all the chart list "dubstep" imitations nowadays.
A ballad male urk voice, and a "cool drop" made by some inhouse Sony NRJ
producer. This gives me no more than listening to 12 year old "producers", who try to imitate all the powerful characteristics of the original sound.
In 2007-8, Coki, Benga, Mala, Rusko, Skream; – listen, its a long time ago already.... UK before Beach Volleyball Mickey Mouse style. Check Rinse FM`s daily stream for a proper preview of what comes next.

Somehow its all like this track, which was sent around as a joke more than two years ago...

Now this sound has become the standard "aim-to-get-popular-melody" in the music business.
Brostep etc for the "Roided-Out-High-School-Asshole" American college crowd (sorry!) who finds it "awweesuuum".

Ok so I´m whining but its of utmost importance that you have your machete with you in the tough music jungle to get through...use your senses as tools and it shall lead you the right way. Nuff said,
Skream – Big Apply Mix (Jan-2004)
