The rise and fall of our hero - Die Krupps

First time I ever went to Germany, in the mid 90´s, with my friend and his Dad, we just suddenly hit the far out West end of Berlin without even realizing we were in the city, with this song on, bubbling basslines, non-syncopated chords, a promising image of the 80´s we never really experienced ourselves, and it fit so well with the broad streets of Charlottenburg, the lights reflecting in the raindrops on the foggy windows, the pompous lyrics, and the monumental sound. I don´t know exactly where to place it, but its some of the best electronic-based German rock with English lyrics ever, and you should definitly hear (or buy) the rest of the album "Entering The Arena", from 1985. Songwriters name: Christina Schnekenburger.
