Well-known as The Juan Mac Lean’s keyboardist and for his various remixes for artists like Ghostape or Panthers on DFA, Run Rocs remix of Junips "Always", is a nice new track in between indie & shoegaze house, totally in the line of tradition as Andrew Weatheralls work on Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" on 1989´s Manchester Factory Records.
It builds up into a rhytmic, suggestive and meditative melodic based around vocal loops and sandy chords. "Azaleadalen" is the flip side of an earlier release called "Chickens". Hailing from Göteborg, Sweden, Junip is Tobias Winterkorn (organ, moog), Elias Araya (drums) and Jose Gonzalez (guitar and vocals). They are currently finishing work on their debut album which will see the light in 2010.
